Hello Astrology Friends,
The astrological weather we are currently in - is not for the faint of heart. We are deep into both Mercury and Venus Retrogrades (Rx), and about to have the last Aries Eclipse, till 2033, skyrocketing us to new endeavors and places we never could have imagined! And if that isn’t enough, Neptune enters Aries the day after the Eclipse, and our collective consciousness begins a brand new 170-year cycle around the Zodiac. What a Time to be alive!
But, first of all, happy belated Spring Equinox everybody. We began the Aries season when the Sun moved to 0° Aries on March 20th, 2025, signaling the beginning of springtime. The energy, with the fire sign Aries, is about Self, Initiation, Action, and Impulse. Aries is the match, that upon striking, lights into a flame. There is boldness, courageousness and pioneer attitude with Aries that initiates new adventures, ideas and takes us down roads no one has ventured before.
9° Aries Solar Eclipse March 29th, 2025, San Francisco, CA, USA, P.S.T. 3:58 a.m

A Solar Eclipse happens when the Moon covers the light of the Sun, as their paths cross up in the Heavens. Eclipses are powerful points, often bringing in new vision and information we were lacking before. Depending on where Aries falls in your own astrological natal chart, and what other placements you have in the sign, the implications of this Eclipse are vastly different for each of us. Mainly these manifests for all of us as a powerful new beginning, a time of tapping into our own being and regeneration, and lighting the fire on how we show up courageous and bold in our lives.
This is not your “normal” Solar Eclipse. Venus started her Retrograde at 10° Aries on March 2nd and Mercury started their Retrograde March 15th at 9° Aries. This Aries Eclipse is tied together with how we think, plan, communicate - as well as what we love, appreciate, attract, and how we make money, and whom we socialize with. There is something synchronistic about the timing of this Eclipse, as all these topics are being highlighted by the Cosmos.
As a quick reminder, the retrogrades (Rx) are times when, from our viewpoint on Earth, it looks as though the planets are moving backwards. As they make their way through the Zodiac in the Sky, Earth seems to ‘pass by’ faster creating the retrograde appearance. Energetically here on Earth Mercury Rx disrupts communication and planning, while Venus Rx has us revisit our attractions and value systems.
As much as this Solar Eclipse is a New Moon, offering beginnings, I truly recommend waiting on moving forward and jumping directly to action right now. These retrogrades tell us to slow down, revisit what we think we know, check our facts, get more information, and wait till both Mercury and Venus go direct before finalizing our choices. Mercury stations direct on April 7th and Venus on April 13th, 2025. Wait till after mid-April to make big changes, as you might think and feel differently, once the planets are moving forwards again.
This Aries Solar Eclipse makes a sextile to Jupiter in Gemini, bringing in a bounty of optimism, growth potential and opportunities, as well as possibly some overwhelm of just too much networking and “busyness”.
Pallas Athena in Aquarius also makes a sextile to the Eclipse offering us Wisdom for planning ahead and using the powers of collaborating with community to bring a better view of the future for us all to move towards.
Mars, the Ruler of the Aries Eclipse is in Cancer which emphasizes protection of the Home, Family and Homeland. Mars has a helpful trine to Saturn, North Node and Venus in Pisces which means, actions of protection and connecting emotionally, are generally being supported by the collective powers that be.
Sunday March 30th, 2025, Neptune, the planet of Imagination, Illusion, Fantasy, Escapism, and Transcendence moves into Aries, till October 23rd, 2025. Then Neptune re-enters Pisces till January 26th, 2026, when it then it leaves Pisces for good, for the next 170 years!
The last 14 years of Neptune in Pisces has been a grand spiritual awakening for the Collective. There are more people studying astrology than ever before and more people connecting to different spiritual beliefs around the world. Over the last decade and a half, fantasy animals and creatures have filled children’s TV programs, movies and books, as well as store shelves. Speaking of stores - they have become almost obsolete. It seems there is a push to close actual stores and make everyone shop online. This is a good reminder, if you like your neighborhood market, the local pet store, or you enjoy trying on shoes before buying them, perhaps make a point to do your shopping at the local stores nearby, rather than deferring to the ease of the internet.
Neptune rules screens, movies, photography, art and music. There has been a resurgence of spiritual music and hymns, with Neptune in Pisces, and of course the escaping of reality through screens in our daily lives, that is ever so present. These days we can create anything we can imagine online, create our own ideal identities, and connect to others through online communities. All of these happen in the Neptunian ethers of existence, but not actually present, in the flesh and bone.
So, what may happen when Neptune moves into Aries? First, we need to know what Neptune is known to do once it comes into close contact with another planet or sign in the Zodiac. Astrologically speaking, Neptune is known to cause confusion, illusion, possible deceit, while also offering the ability to connect to the divine and find transcendence.
We also have to look at Aries which is ruled by Mars aka “Ares Ruler of War”. Yes, that war path is of course a possibility, but one I personally don’t like to imagine or consider (which must be due to my natal Mars-Neptune conjunction, and tendency for flight rather than fight)!
Aries is the individual, so will Neptune cause us to lose our identities, I sure hope not, but yes, if choosing to live online versus the real world, that too might happen to some of us. Perhaps there is a push for everyone to have online identities – which of course brings in the deceitful part of Neptune, too. What is true online, are people who they say they are, or are they someone else? Or maybe there is straight up confusion of what is really going on in the World as a whole. Is it fake news, or is it not, that is the big question.
Neptune in mythology is Poseidon, the God of the Oceans, so you can imagine Neptune conjuring up a fog, a mist, a cloud of confusion and dissolvement wherever it goes. Through that uncertainty though is a silver lining of possibility. Neptune teaches us to let go, dissolve structures that no longer are needed, so we can connect in a higher conscious way.
So, I ask you, what kind of a future do you want to imagine for yourself, your community, the world? If you were to take the lead and forge a new path – where do you want to go with it? If anything were to be possible, what would you do with your precious Time here on Planet Earth? Or as Mary Oliver says:
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
It is up to us on how we spend our Time and the paths we choose each day. We keep weaving our own personal stories, minute-by-minute and choice-by-choice, sometimes without realizing where we are heading. This is a great moment in Time to notice where you are and where you want to go in the future.
Sending you all exciting Eclipse vibes for the weekend – upward and onward!
XOXO
