Hello Astrology Friends,
Here we are, in the middle of this strong and focused Capricorn New Moon energy which is gifting us with the ability to plan and set-up goals for the New Year – and what a year we have in store!
December 30th, 2024, Capricorn New Moon, San Francisco, CA, USA, 2:27 p.m., P.S.T.
Capricorn rules structures, foundations, self-reliance, and responsibilities. This is the perfect time to look at the year ahead and start planting seeds for what you hope to achieve for this next cycle. Whatever we put our minds and energy to work towards now will culminate at the full moon in Capricorn happening 18 months from now, June 2026, so think long-term!
The Capricorn New Moon has a helpful sextile to Saturn in Pisces, so tapping into our Piscean dreams of what we want, we just might be able to manifest those dreams, if planned right. The Moon and Sun are also in conjunction with Pallas Athena, so structural perception is heightened, as well as intuition in knowing what the sequence is for creating a lasting foundation.
The year ahead, 2025, is coming with more changes than we can ever imagine. Pluto just moved to stay in Aquarius for the next 20 years, and it promises intensity, the falls and rebirths of communities and social organizations, as well as rapid AI growth, over the next few decades.
We have a nodal axis shift happening January 12th, 2025, when the North Node that has been in Aries, moves into Pisces, and the South Node travels from Libra to Virgo. The karmic stories are opening for all Pisceans! Globally, we will be more apt for finding compassion and empathy, and a will to help those in need – unless the need to escape reality takes over. The Virgo South Node will help us tap into our abilities to discern what is necessary and needed to make all our Piscean dreams come true!
We have a Venus Retrograde happening March 2nd – April 13th, 2025, from 10 ° Aries to 24 ° Pisces, offering us a time to reconsider our income, values, and relationships.
Neptune, the planet of dreams, higher consciousness, confusion and dissolvement dips into Aries, March 30th through November 8th, 2025, and returns into Pisces for a short visit, and then comes back to Aries in January 2026. Aries, the sign of the entrepreneur, action, and fast-paced movement, will surely bring about many new endeavors, spontaneous daringness, and competitive edges to the zeitgeist of our time. Neptune blurs reality and we can expect deception and confusion about what is really going on. Beware of the rise in identity theft and do not believe everything you see or hear!
Saturn, which restricts and slows things down, will also enter Aries this coming year: May 25th – August 31st, 2025. Saturn will come to a close conjunction to Neptune in Aries, so as much as Aries wants fast forward movement, we can expect the journey to be anything but smooth. Simultaneously, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction can be a time to make dreams a reality, get inspired to create, and then of course follow-up with the load of Saturnian responsibilities.
And, as if that isn’t enough, Uranus, The Rebel and Awakener, will enter Gemini on July 7th – November 8th, 2025! Unexpected and futuristic messages, and new innovative forms of communications and short distance travel are all on the horizon. Uranus will then return to Taurus for a final swipe, to probably make finalizations to our monetary systems, before moving to Gemini to stay April 2026 – 2032.
There is a whole lot more happening in the Heavens, with the current Mars Retrograde about to oppose Pluto for its second time on January 2nd, 2025, the three Mercury Retrogrades next year and, and not to mention the upcoming Eclipses.
The Mars Retrograde started December 7th, 2024, at 6° Leo and will retrograde till Feb 24th, 2025, back to 17° Cancer. This retrograde brings up Martian topics of how we assert our wills, how we fight and protect our homes and families, especially while transiting in Cancer. In Leo the Mars Retrograde asks us to acknowledge our creative needs and what keeps our passions alive and if we are being courageously true to ourselves.
Below is a list, for those who are interested, about the other retrogrades and eclipses coming up in 2025, so you can jot them down in your calendars. I will share more about each of them as we get closer to each event:
- Full Moon Eclipse at 23 ° Virgo on March 14th, 2025.
- Mercury Retrograde: March 15th at 9° Aries till April 7th at 26 ° Pisces
- Solar Eclipse: March 29th at 9° Aries
- Mercury Retrograde: July 18th at 15° Leo till August 11th at 4° Leo
- Full Moon Eclipse: September 7th at 15° Pisces
- Solar Eclipse: September 21st at 29° Virgo
- Mercury Retrograde: November 10th at 6° Sagittarius till Nov 30th at 20° Scorpio
