Taurus New Moon and More!

Updated: 6 hours ago

Hello Astrology Friends,

As promised, Neptune entered Aries at the end of March, and goodness has the confusion and misinformation filled the ethers! This Aries energy truly gets people riled up, speaking, and acting hastily. Nothing is as it seems, and everything is clouded in the Neptunian fog. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise that Saturn will also enter Aries May 25th to put the brakes on and slow things down.

Sunday April 27th the new moon will be in Taurus, offering us the opportunity to connect with our values and senses. This is not an easy new moon, as it comes on the coat tails of the final Mars and Pluto opposition happening the day before.

You might be asking, what does a Mars-Pluto opposition mean, so here are some thoughts on it: Mars is the individual and Pluto the collective. Mars activates and Pluto intensifies. Martian male energy asserts its willpower and Pluto conjures up fear and power struggles. Mars is Ares, the God of War, and Pluto is Hades, The Ruler of the Underworld.

November 3rd, 2024 was the very first of the three oppositions, between Mars and Pluto, ironically tied into the election results of He Who Should Not Be Named.  January 5th 2025, was the second opposition, and the US had an enormous blizzard that day causing fear and wreckage across the country. We shall see what Saturday’s upcoming opposition will reveal, but in the meantime, the configuration is baked into our upcoming New Moon in Taurus.

April 27th, 2025, New Moon in Taurus, 12:31 P.M., P.S.T., San Francisco, CA, USA

Taurus, a fixed Earth sign, is associated with the natural world, nature, and our value systems. A fixed sign is one in the middle of a season, and an earth sign connects us to our beloved earth, under our feet. Taurus season, in the middle of springtime, is when the flowers have their super blooms (up here in the Northern Hemisphere), and nature is fully alive and aromatically calling us to bask in the beauty of her abundance.

Uranus, the planet of awakening and disruptions, has been travelling in Taurus since 2018, and will be entering Gemini July of 2025.  So, this is the last Taurus New Moon with Uranus co-present, for the next 75 years, so seeds of change in our value systems can definitely be planted during this New Moon. Note what happens in your life, and the World-at-large, end of April 2025, so you can look back and see what transpires in the months to come.

Every new moon begins a three-year Moon Family Cycle, where the first quarter Moon will be nine months later, the full moon 18 months later, and the last quarter moon two years and three months later. If you have personal planets or significant points at 5-10 degrees in Taurus, you will experience heightened new developments, depending on the planets and placements involved.

The Taurus New Moon sits in the middle of the Mars-Pluto opposition, square to both Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius, so the ingredients spell out conflict, power plays, and assertion of willpower. There is a standing off between the individual versus the collective and whatever begins this weekend will continue to play out over the next three years.

The Ruler of the Taurus Moon is Venus in Pisces which is tightly conjunct to Saturn and the North Node. The pendulum swings from hardship and arduous work to trusting our wisdom keepers, elders and healers, to show the way. The North Node implies how we are all working through karmic stories to get to the other side! The good news is, both the squares from Mars and Pluto to the New Moon, and the Venus-Saturn-North Node conjunctions, are all slowly waning.

By May 1st Venus will already be re-entering Aries, after her retrograde journey back into Pisces, and perhaps she will be adding some extra spice to the Neptunian chaos that has been afloat. Or maybe she will bring some peace to the confusion and transcend us finding a higher vibration on how we interact with one another. One could only hope.

May 26th 2025, is when Saturn enters Aries, and the conjunction between Neptune and Saturn will get closest in July. The actual conjunction between the two won’t happen till February 20th of 2026. These conjunctions happen every 36 years, and have been connected to popular uprisings, wars, falls of different dynasties and leaders, secret packs, dissolving and changes in country boundaries, imaginary mayhem and religious fanatism. At the same time spirituality and morality has grown, tyrant leaders have fallen from grace, and karmic justice has prevailed.

The last time we had a Saturn-Neptune conjunction was in 1989, coinciding with the Fall of the Berlin Wall. I highly recommend a podcast on these Saturn-Neptune conjunctions, from the Astrology Podcast, where its host Chris Brennen and guest Nick Dagan Best go over the previous conjunctions in detail, hand in hand with historical events: https://theastrologypodcast.com/2025/03/25/saturn-neptune-conjunctions-in-history/ The episode is over eight hours, so get prepared to dive deep!

So, my dear astrology friends, no matter what happens, we are at the brink of a new era! Things will not continue as they are now indefinitely, as change is the only constant we have. Get out into nature this weekend, find the Taurus within yourself, slow down, smell the flowers, and enjoy this opportunity, while you are still here and alive.

XOXO
